hds 8 contour lines?
Feb 7th, 2010, 1:48am

Does anyone on this site have a hds 8 or 10 and can tell me how I can get the contour lines on the lakes? I was at the boat and sportsman show this weekend and bought an hds 8 and the newest hot maps chip for it and when I showed the whole program on a unit at the fishing hole booth it had contour lines for most of the lakes in our area and also had squares on the main map around the areas that have bodies of water in that area. I have been messing around with mine trying to look up new spots to try when open water season hits but I have none of this info on my unit. I have been through all of the settings on the unit and also have switched up the chip into both chip slots. The lowrance rep that was at the booth did update my unit before I took it home with the latest updates and I am wondering if maybe that has something to do with it. If anyone has info that can help me out it is greatly appreciated. Would love to start checking out the water around our area and making a bucket list.

hey kelly I got it working but only with the patch I found on the net. I have to load it every time I start up the finder. Next time i'm in calgary I will bring it by fishing hole or if opening weekend is before that I will track you down on the water and see if you can figure it out. Not in a huge rush just couldn't figure out what was wrong.
